  1. The way he plays his instrument is beautiful. Do you play any old-world traditional instruments like the zither, baglama, etc?

  2. Yes, he takes after his father, Muharrem Ertas, who rips out my soul with his compositions. I don't play any of those instruments, unfortunately. I have a bulbul tarang (indian banjo), and a gopichand that I noodle with sometimes, but I'm hardly competent. You?

  3. I do like to incorporate traditional sounds in my music, but I don't play any of those instruments either. It's cool that you're at least in the toying stages with them. I like to run old recordings through my vocal processor and I've been wanting to try live stuff as well.

  4. Yeah, when my record player is hooked up again, I have a few records that I want to get some good samples from. My deepest wish, though, is to sing like them, but I feel like you have to train your mouth and voice from a pretty young age to be able to get that kind of sound.
